Tug of War is one of the oldest games in the world, played across ancient Greece, Egypt, and China. Today, it’s still a global favourite — and now it’s part of the action at our live laser gaming battlefields!

Why Add The Rope?

Sometimes we’ve got a few players waiting between rounds — why not keep them hyped up with a Tug of War showdown? It’s a great way to:

• Keep everyone involved

• Burn off some extra energy

• Spark some laughs

• Build team spirit and friendly rivalries

Whether it’s the kids going head-to-head, or adults stepping in to show off their strength, Tug of War is always a crowd-pleaser. And it makes for some hilarious photos too

How It Works

Our Tug of War matches are usually played as a best-of-three format:

• Each team has a mark on their end of the rope, 4 metres from the centre.

• The goal? Pull the other team’s mark over the centre line to win the pull.

• First team to win two out of three pulls wins the match!

• No ties. Just glory (and maybe a little dirt on your knees).

Simple Rules for Big Fun

• Rope must be pulled underarm.

• No elbows below the knees — that's a foul!

• The match starts with the rope’s centre line lined up with a centre ground marker.

• The team that pulls the other team’s marker past the centre wins the pull.
